"assembly required" started one Christmas Eve when our co-founder, a teenager at the time, was struggling to put together a toy for his little brother. Frustrated with the process, he realized how many people must face the same problem—trying to assemble gifts and household items during busy times. That’s when the idea clicked: what if people could hire help for this? We combined this with dad’s house renovation and handyman experience, and just like that, assembly required was born. What started as a holiday fix has grown into a full-service handyman business, offering furniture assembly, home repairs, and more. Our mission is simple: to make your life easier so you can spend less time worrying and more time enjoying the good things—like a coastal breeze and a diet Coke.
